Kinya Tsuruyama

Kinya "ZULU" Tsuruyama was formerly a member of Dai-Rakuda-Kan and currently
artistic director of YAN-SHU (an internationally acclaimed butoh company).
A popular performer in Europe, he performed in Berlin with the Theatre Danse Grotesque in 1995. Later he performed in 'Le coucourse' by Maurice Bejart in Germany's famed STAATSOPERA.

YAN-SHU was nominated for multiple DORA Awards in 2005 for the
best choreography and the best performance.

ZULU has taught and directed butoh workshops throughout Europe.
